Yes! Great White Sharks in the wild! Santa Cruz and the northern Monterey Bay have become a Shark Rookery every year! The warm waters every spring and our shallow, sandy shores have become an ideal habitat for these awesome and mysterious creatures. Get close up viewing of Great White Sharks only mere yards away from the beach on these 2 hour trips. We often sight Sharks over 10 feet in length! Our Coast Guard Certified vessels feature a snack bar and a restroom. All of our tours have a Marine Naturalist on board that will provide fascinating insights on these Apex predators of the sea!
2 hour trips Late Spring through Late Fall
Shark sightings are subject to environmental conditions such as wind, seas and swell. Water temperature on any given day can also impact our success in spotting sharks. Shark sightings cannot be guaranteed, but our percentage of spotting sharks is still relatively high, somewhere around 70% (just a bit lower than our whale sighting percentages).

Come view the beautiful Monterey Bay Marine
Sanctuary aboard Velocity or Legacy! This trip
focuses on viewing the abundant marine wildlife
that inhabits our nearshore waters of northern
Monterey Bay. Depending on the time of year your
trip may include sightings of several species of
Seals & Sea Lions, Sea Otters, Dolphins, marine
birds, and possibly even great white sharks or
whales! Trips are led by Marine Biologists and
expert Naturalists. Historical points of interest
are narrated by your captain during this 2 hour trip.
