Orcas in Monterey Bay--Day 1!

May 19^th:  Whale Watching trip: We observed 7 Orcas yesterday! Aurora’s pod, adult males Jimmy and Glacier and a few others. The females lead the hunt for a male California Sea Lion while the adult males hung out on their own a little ways off. One of the females did a spy hop for us while they were zipping around! We also saw: Velellas (“by-the-wind” sailors), Humpback Whales, Black-footed Albatross, Brown Pelicans and Harbor Seal!
