Sweet end to summer with rare sightings of Blue Whales, "Casper" the albino Risso's Dolphin & Great White Shark

8/29: We found Humpback Whales, Risso’s Dolphins and a Sea Otter mom & pup.  Also, in open water, we saw a Great White Shark with a large gash in the dorsal fin!

8/28: Active Humpback Whales, showing off surface behaviors; Breaching and Peck Slaps! Awesome jellies, Sea Lions.

8/27: We found a group of 100+ Risso’s Dolphins yesterday and Casper was in the group! He is a male, albino Risso’s Dolphin that was first seen as a juvenile in 2014 (so he’s at least 8 years old)! Also, Risso’s and Pacific White-Sided Dolphins together and Humpback Whales.

8/25: Blue Whale! Also, Risso’s Dolphin nursery pod, Humpback Whale, Purple-striped Jelly and California Sea Lions!

8/22: Beautiful juvenile Humpback Whale, another large group of active Risso’s Dolphins (100+), a massive, concentrated smack of Moon Jellies and a Southern Sea Otter mom & pup. Risso’s breaching!
