Orcas Today!

4/21/17 – Orcas today! We got fantastic looks at 20-25 killer whales, whizzing by pretty close to the boat! We were able to observe them for over an hour! And we saw 2 humpback whales.

Orca, also known as Killer Whales can be seen at any time of year in Monterey Bay, but they are unpredictable. They are  most common during April, May, and June as they predate on northbound migrating Gray Whales, usually mother and newborn calves.
