Gray Whale Sightings | Whale Watching in Monterey Bay

The gray whale sightings this season have been plentiful all up and down the Pacific Coast and inside Monterey Bay.

 On our most recent trip we encountered 3 frisky gray whales along the bow, in 100 feet of water right outside the Santa Cruz Harbor near Twin Lakes Beach! Later we found 9 gray whales about 4 miles off shore. Great looks and great energy from a thriving gray whale population this year! April – May we expect to see gray whales migrating northbound back to feeding grounds in the Bering Sea of Alaska.
