Blue whales 90 ft long visit Monterey Bay

Sunday, September 3, 2017: Over 20 humpback whales over the Monterey Canyon today!

Saturday, September 2, 2017:  Awesome blue whales today!! About 10 blues were spotted out over the canyon feeding on krill. Two huge ones surfaced right next to the boat. We think they were over 90 ft long. Amazing. Warmer water brought in some long and short beaked common dolphins! Our first sighting of these dolphins in Monterey Bay all summer. They were accompanied by a few pacific white sided dolphins as well.
