Blue, Fin and Humpback whales, dolphins, orca

Saturday 11/18/17 Whale Watching today 11/18/17 We're surrounded by whales and dolphins! The blue whales have moved north so we got great looks at blue whales, plus fin whales, plenty of humpback whales and Pacific white sided dolphins. Northern fulmars, too Northern fulmars, too

Sunday 11/12/17 – Great trip! We had amazing calm weather out on Monterey Bay.  Beautiful humpback whales cruising alongside the boat, a small pod of deep diving Risso’s dolphins, and a surprise appearance by a small pod of orcas: the same group we’ve been seeing over the last several weeks. But that’s not all! Bottlenose dolphins outside the harbor and even a sea otter in the harbor channel! That’s it for mammals, but we also saw an osprey, northern fulmars, and a kingfisher (for the birders!)
